Two years ago on 4.24.13, the Rana Plaza factory collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh. 1133 people were killed and 2500 were injured. Fashion Revolution day was created to raise awareness and social change within the garment industry.
The Fashion Revolution Day Organization has created a couple of hashtags to use:
- Use #FashRev for tweets throughout the year
- On and around 4.24, use the campaign hashtag #whomademyclothes
The amount of hashtags will be used to measure the level of impact The Fashion Revolution Day has in raising awareness for social change in the garment industry.
