10 Things We're Grateful For: A Look Back at 2014

by Study NY

2014 was an incredible year for us at Study NY, we look back on it with fond memories which have inspired us to make even bigger goals for 2015.  It was hard to narrow down our favourite moments to just 10, but we had to stop somewhere, so here's a recap of our year.  Thank you for being part of it!

Winning runner up at the CFDA / Lexus Eco Fashion Challenge, it was such an honour to be selected amongst a distinguished group of likeminded designers.

Moving Study's headquarters in to the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator alongside an incredible group of talented, likeminded designers who inspire me everyday, where we look forward to creating in their midst and helping them produce their collections more sustainably

Learning to program a 3D knitting machine in Japan. Yeah, you read that right, we're psyched!

Attending the ORIGIN FAIR in Vicenza, Italy, meeting an incredible group of talented designers and manufacturers from around the planet.  And we're equally excited that we'll be attending ORIGIN 2015!

Spending a month working and playing in Europe with my partner in crime, which leads me to the next thing I'll always be grateful for...

New experimental music from Cut Mistake Music, a label that supports emerging talent, never compromises on quality and strives to bring something new to the conversation, which is always inspiring and humbling.

Designers Breakfast Club, because none of us can do it alone. This is a group I started last year that brings together emerging designers in Brooklyn who have similar struggles (and successes) with the aim of creating a support system that both comforts and challenges one another.  To all my breakfast clubbers, thank you!

Our supportive, inspirational group of Stockists around the world!   The boutiques that carry Study are our direct representatives to customers, and we're grateful for the way they carefully curate the brands in their shops.

Longtime customers like Hen Zeffert, who are doing great things to change the world, read why here

And last but certainly not least, the army of Study interns who work tirelessly to make this little company seem much bigger than it is... and hopefully one day make it big enough to hire a lot of them back.

From everyone at Study, we wish you a very happy start to 2015.
